I was walkin down a dead end street 
Lookin for a party but this city's beat 
So I went walkin down to Kearney Sq. 
Lookin for my cronies but they were nowhere 
So I went walkin down on Merrimac 
Saw D-Tension on the railroad tracks 
And we went walkin through the winter's breeze 
D-Tension turned to me - he said 

I know a place!!! 
Where we could go 
To rock and roll 

Now I'm walkin I'm goin down the stairs 
With all the rockers rockin to a rockin band 
And I went walkin I slink up to the bar 
My $20 bill it doesn't go too far 
So I went walkin back on Merrimac 
Beer in my pocket 
Coat on my back 
I was walkin and I bump into the Hawk 
Walkin down the block 
He said 

I know a place 
To rock and roll!
