just hearing her name could sweep you of your feet
she was so god darn plum beautiful; she was good enough to eat

her name was ethel!!!
just like her great grandma
ethel doris;
she went and walked out my door
i'm gonna get her back; if i have to search from shore to shore

it's ethel doris !!!
you know you got me down
well, i walked down the railroad tracks;
i think i went through every town
well, the next time we're seen together
you'll be wearing a wedding gown

she done left me
i was feeling good (mighty good)
'till she walked out my door
she done walked
she didn't stop walking 'till she reached the other shore

well, i finally found you and i got you back
you're in your wedding gown, i'm in my favorite slacks

i got you back!!!
